OUR AIRCRAFT
We operate a 1975 Cessna 172M with a power-flow exhaust modification and the RAM 160HP conversion, giving it some extra power for takeoff. It cruises around 100kts on a set of Edo 2000 floats.
It was previously owned by the Winnipeg Flying Club as a float plane trainer In Manitoba. A perfect first step into the world of seaplane flying.
WHY LEARN TO FLY FLOATS?
Whether you enjoy trying new things or have a zest to
fly float planes for your career, the seaplane endorsement is
one of the lower costing, shorter and in some opinions the most enjoyable
training you'll have in your flying endeavors. It is also a great way to stay current if you haven't flown for a while.
Explore Manitoba and all of its
back country lake and river destinations.
Take your known skills, learn some new ones and apply them to
water flying.
Commercial Pilot Students- all hours after your basic endorsement can count as PIC time for time building towards your 200 hour requirements!
